General Questions

Placement Quotient (PQ) is an aptitude test which is used by recruiters for screening candidates. It is a 60 minutes test consisting of multiple choice questions based on Quantitative Ability, Verbal Ability and Analytical & Logical Reasoning. At the end of the test, a score is generated which is called PQ score.

When a job is posted on, students from colleges across India apply to it. The recruiters are flooded with resumes. Many a times, it is not possible for them to screen so many resumes in short span of time. Many recruiters then prefer Placement Quotient score (PQ score) to screen the candidates for next round. Some recruiters even make the PQ compulsory.
Hence if you have a Placement Quotient score, your chances of getting selected for next round are much higher.

Once your PQ score is generated, it is added to your profile. When you apply to various jobs, your resume along with PQ Score is shared with the recruiter. A resume with a good PQ score has a better chance of getting shortlisted for the next round than a resume without a PQ score.

Using PQ score in selection process is a sole discretion of the company. Some companies allow the candidates to apply without PQ score and some companies make PQ compulsory. Some companies may even ask for PQ score after you apply.
