Dr Chandrasekhar from MGM Medical College, Indore secured 185th Rank in DNB CET 2016 which was conducted in the month of November/December 2015
When we asked him about the strategy he adopted to clear his PG Entrance exams, he gave the following preparation tips
“When you are preparing for AIPGMEE or DNB, the most important thing is making the subject as short as possible so that you should be able to revise it at least 1 or 2 subject per day in the end of your preparation. But the question is how will you do that and the only answer is by preparing your own notes. Read subject wise objective guides, make concept of topics, try to remember by correlating things with other things, make mnemonics, solve objectives after reading chapter and make notes of that chapter as short as possible but it should cover all important points. Revise them again and again and highlight most important point in your notes too, because if you don’t revise the subject just before the exam (within two weeks) you are going to forget 50%of that subject. So do make notes, if possible highlight and when you read, read only that. If possible take pictures of tables and list of causes in mobile, arrange subject wise and revise them whenever you get spare time. It will also help you when you are reading something else and you want to see that table. Join test series, if possible two, I joined three. RankJunction is also providing good test series especially grand test and topic wise test will help a lot in preparation. I want to thank Bhagyashree (from RankJunction ) for advising me about test series and sending daily questions and responding immediately when I needed.
Best of luck & do your best. Everybody has potential..”
